Jennifer Lynn Lopez Rodriguez (born July 24, 1969), better known as Jennifer Lopez or J. Lo, is an American actress, singer, dancer, songwriter, record producer, fashion designer, entrepreneur, television producer, choreographer, and perfumer.
Her interest in achieving fame arose from having a Supporting Role in the film My Little Girl. In 1991, she got her first job as a dancer and in 1993 decided to devote herself to acting. She earned her first starring role in the film Selena, with which she became the first latina actress to win a million dollars and was also nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress. He also starred in the first installment of the film series Anaconda (1997). The following year, with the film Out of Sight (1998), he managed to collect two million USD2 and also performed one of the best performances of his career. In 1999 he debuted as a singer with his single If you had My Love which was number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and with his album On the 6 (1999), enjoying great success in the international market.3
With the simultaneous release of his second studio album, J. Lo, and his film The Wedding Planner in 2001, Lopez became the first person to hold the number one spot in the cinema and his album in the same week, Guinness Record that no one has taken away from him. His 2002 remix album, J to Tha L-o!: The Remixes, became the first in history to debut at number one on the Billboard 200, and includes the number one single Ain't it Funny (Murder Remix). Later that year, he released his third studio album, This is Me... Then, which contains the singles Jenny from the Block and All I Have, and released his film happened in Manhattan (2002) which enjoyed a huge success at the box office.
After starring Gigli (2003) alongside Ben Affleck, a film that did not have the expected success, Lopez subsequently starred in the successful romantic comedies ¿Bailamos? Life and career
1969-1990: childhood and artistic beginnings
Jennifer Lopez Rodriguez was born in Castle Hill, in the Bronx, New York, on July 24, 1969.22 she was the second daughter of Puerto Rican parents David Lopez and Guadalupe Rodriguez; she has a younger sister named Lynda and an older one named Leslie.23his father worked at night as a security guard, and his mother was a teacher in a kindergarten. When Jennifer was born, the family lived in a small apartment, however, a few years later they were able to save to leave for a two-story house.24 at the age of five, Jennifer began singing and dancing. Jennifer spent most of her time in Catholic schools, finishing at Preston High School. At school he did gymnastics and was a member of the school's football team, excelling athletically, going on to compete in national championships. While attending her senior year in high school, Jennifer learned that there was a casting for a film that sought several teenagers for small roles, passed the audition and landed a role in my Little Girl2824 in 1986, a low-budget film co-written and directed by Connie Kaiserman. There she played the role of Myra, a young woman in a center for troubled youth who did not even have dialogues and appeared only in a small cameo.
