Sapa is one of the most picturesque and geographically interesting places in the country. You can see yourself surrounded by a fleet of clouds as soon as you get to the top of the mountains. If you don’t mind trekking a little, be sure to climb Mt. Fansipan which is the tallest mountain in South East Asia for breathtaking views as you chase fluffy white clouds all the way up to the top.
2. Go underground in a Chu Chi tunnel

These tunnels were the hideout spots during the Vietnam war. It’s a surreal experience to learn the tactics people used to just be able to survive during those gory times. You can take a day trip to these tunnels from Ho Chi Minh City.
3. Check out a cafe which is on a train track

The people of Vietnam are undeniably pragmatic. They sure know how to utilize space so they have a train track running in-between a street that has a line of houses on both sides. You can also sit on these tracks and enjoy some delicious local food and if you see a train coming towards you, be quick to get off the track and watch the train pass inches away from you. You’re definitely not going to get to do this anywhere else in the world.
4. Try Egg Coffee

Vietnamese people are super creative so when they knew they had some of the world’s best coffee beans, they decided to give it a twist and they invented something called the egg coffee. Many coffee shops serve this delicious cup of warmth. The consistency and flavor will make you doubt every other cup of coffee you’ve ever had before.
5. Kayak amongst some of the worlds largest caves
