By the time the night before the day of the AP Exam rolls around, hopefully you will have studied enough to be ready. Regardless of your level of preparation, however, this can still be a pretty stressful period. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
1. Hopefully, by this time you will have taken at least one practice test. If you did pretty well, rest easy with the knowledge that the AP exam itself will be very similar. If you haven't taken a practice test, you may want to consider taking one, even on the night before the exam (just do the multiple choice section), to get some idea of what the exam will feel like.
2. Don't try to cram a whole bunch of information in to your brain at the last minute. You can do a little last minute studying, of course, but don't stay up late. Be in bed by at least 10:00 or 11:00.
3. If you can't fall asleep right away, take some time to mentally work through what taking the exam will feel like. Go over all of the major themes that you reviewed and make sure that there isn't anything that you forgot to prepare for.
4. Finally, just try to relax. Around the world, hundreds of thousands of other people will take the AP exam, just like you are. Most of them probably aren't as smart as you are. Don't worry. You'll do fine. If nothing else, remember that AP grades don't go on your transcript!
If you still have some time before the AP Exam, (or even if you're feeling worried, and today is the day before the exam) you can brush up on important information with a good AP Study Guide. Give yourself the peace mind that will help you immeasurably on test day.
