Psycho Goreman Movie Premise And Review

Psycho Goreman is a new comedy horror film that's rich with cool and tacky science fiction elements. Directed by filmmaker Steven Kostanski, Psycho Goreman was worked on with a formula like a love letter from the filmmaker in 1980s science fiction, fantasy and horror films. Why is it described this way? For that, consider first the premise of the story and reviews of this film.

It is said, Mimi and Luke are a pair of brothers who after making a mutual agreement, dig a hole in the backyard of their house. That's when they accidentally harass an ancient alien creature that has been buried there for a long time. Fortunately, just before the resurrection of aliens who apparently have the goal of destroying the galaxy, Mimi and Luke first get a jewel whose owner can control the creature as its master.

Mimi by using the jewel then begins to control the alien who actually has extraordinary abilities to become her slave. Not only that, Mimi gave the alien name Psycho Goreman (abbreviated as PG-ed). Even though the alien strongly opposes, the jewel in the girl's hand makes him helpless and forced to comply with all the requests of the little boy who becomes his new master.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the galaxy, PG's revival has caught the attention of his enemies across the galaxy. A team of alien warriors, and also Pandora, one of the guardians of the galaxy, then came to Earth with a mission to destroy PG for good for the sake of the future fate of the galaxy.

The specialty of the Psycho Goreman film that makes it prove to be a very entertaining spectacle and until now has received positive appreciation is because the creator team really understands what films they are presenting. It's true that Kostanski and his team are having a great time here with their preferred style of filming. Apart from being very funny, the film also doesn't seem shy about showing sadistic scenes with practical special effects from the 1980s era at every opportunity. There were scenes of bodies melting, exploding, splitting in half, all of which were covered in blood. Uniquely, even though the story of this film is actually serious, it is deliberately packaged in comedy. even the sadistic scenes didn't feel creepy.
